Get started with the Wave API by authenticating with your API key and making your first API requests. This guide shows you how to connect to Wave, retrieve your connected Instagram accounts, and view basic outreach analytics.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:
  • An active Wave Account.
  • A Paid or Trial Wave subscription.
  • At least one connected Instagram sender account.
  • A tool for making HTTP requests, such as cURL, Postman, Python, or Node.js.

1. Generate your API key

Your API key authenticates requests to the Wave API.
  1. Log in to your Wave Dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings → API Keys.
  3. Click Generate New Key.
  4. Give the key a descriptive name, such as Development Key.
  5. Confirm the creation and copy your API key.
